The Blurting Method
Pick a topic, close your book, grab a blank sheet of paper, and write down everything you can remember in 5 minutes. Then open your notes with a red pen and fill in everything you missed.
The red ink immediately exposes the exact gaps between what you think you know and what is actually stored in your memory.
You highlight your textbook in three neon colors and mistake 'recognizing the page' for actually knowing the material.
- Set a 5-minute timer and put all textbooks and slides out of sight.
- Write down every definition, formula, cause, and diagram you remember on a blank page.
- Open your notes and use a different colored pen to add missing facts and fix errors.
- Wait 24 hours and blurt the same topic again until the red ink disappears.
