Module 1: Why Obsidian + AI? — Understand the privacy and ownership advantages of building a local AI-powered second brain.
- What is the core philosophy behind Obsidian?
- Your notes are stored as plain text markdown files on your local hard drive, giving you complete ownership. — It focuses on local-first data ownership.
- True or False: If Obsidian the company shuts down tomorrow, you lose access to all your notes.
- False — Because the files are stored locally on your machine, they belong to you forever.
- Unlike Notion or Google Docs, where does Obsidian store your data by default?
- Locally on your own device's file system. — There is no 'cloud' involved by default.
